The Port - KINGSTON - GREENWOOD

We arrived early evening and had such a lovely and relaxed dinner and evening! We decided to share dinner (as it was a 32oz steak) and were not disappointed! Locally raised, marinated and cooked to specific taste!! Enjoyed a cold glass of brew on tap and truly had the best customer service we've experienced in a long time!! Our only complaint was the lack of veggies on our plate as we were sharing.......not much of a complaint,really! We raved to friends who we then told tales of the tasty sticky toffee pudding we enjoyed for dessert !! A wonderful and unexpected birthday dinner!!

Went for supper tonight. The gentleman serving us was outstanding. Very calm, measured and professional. The food was incredible. Both my wife and I have a really high expectation when dining out, The Port delivered on everything, wait time wasn't bad, food was excellent, service was spot on, not too much or too little. The only thing that I would change is actual little milk jugs with tea instead of plastic.One of the best restaurant experiences that we have had in Nova Scotia.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch. The decor and ambiance was very beautiful and the views of the Bay of Fundy (or one of inlets from the bay) was so interesting to watch fill up as high tide was coming in! We could watch right from our table! Being that we are farmers from Alberta, we loved the concept of "farm to table"! What a great idea to support local farmers/products in the area. Brilliant! We did not find the prices to be too high- especially if much of the food can be found locally and therefore help support your OWN farmers in your province. The meal we had- pork schnitzel and the maple salmon- were the best meals we had in Nova Scotia! Soooooo tasty! We wish we would've had time to come back for a second visit!

We live in the area and would eat here much more often if there were more vegetarian options - there are only two vegetarian mains (salads don't count as mains!) and one of those is a burger: it's disappointing to see the same menu options you can find in so many other places. Having said that, the service is great, the view over the river is worth the visit, and the creme brulée is to die for.

Attentive waitresses, timely and delicious food. View is amazing, overlooking the river, dykes so colorful this time of year, soft breeze keeping away all annoying mosquies!
