The Merchant Tap House - Kingston

Visited on a long overdue night out with the girls when visiting my hometown. Pretty chill vibes overall.

This is a nice, relaxing spot for casual dining. The patio is well shaded with "real" trees and is quite quaint. Service is good. The food is very good, especially given the modest pricing. Good drinks. Nice place to go to chat and relax,

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I really liked the indoor décor but had to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening. The outside of the building has real character and I enjoyed the view looking north to the main street. The restaurant is at the end of the street so there is not a lot of vehicle traffic going by. The menu had a good selection to choose from, the prices reasonable and good portion sizes. We tried the battered mushrooms as an appetizer; they were delicious! My entrée was the sweet curry rice and my husband had the creek burger. We both enjoyed our choices and would recommend. It really is in a great downtown location.

Went there on the 11th of July 2017 with my extended puppy and my puppy Indiana, The food was great, the patio was a great location, and they looked after my puppy. The mac and cheese was the highlight, with second choice being the variety of burgers, Lastly the service was amazing and the food was brought in a timely fashion. Thanks again!!

Every year our company has a team Building in Kingston and this place is always a must stop. Not just the food but every Thursday Trevor Walsh performs. We came back this year again to see him! Old rock covers and he is amazing. We have about 3 generation in our group spanning ages 32 - 56 and we all LOVE him. The food is good. A step up from traditional pub food. The fried mushrooms are dime. It's a must. Uni town so the crowd gets a bit sloppy after 11 but it's not too bad.
