Przekaż informację zwrotnąI organized a dinner for a group of ~35 teenager and their parents. We were fairly large group and it was for a Saturday night. Jen the manager was awesome. Friendly and accommodating it was no trouble at all. It was a busy weekend and no other restaurants in town would take our booking.Everyone was travelling and so we turned up in dribs and drabs... again no problem, just politely asking us if we were ready to order food yet and keeping our refreshments topped up. Perfect.Once we ordered the food arrived promptly and was very tasty and satisfying. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I think all were impressed and would be returning to this or other Don Cherry's soon. Thanks Jen.
When we went for dinner the patio had only one other couple on it and the inside area was almost empty. We sat outside on a nice warm evening. The food is comparable to any other restaurant. They have a large beer serving if that is what you like. We had a good meal with a nice atmosphere and great server to make things pleasant.
Don't leave many bad reviews but....wife and I were in town for the Kingston Pen tour and it happened to be the 6th game of the Stanley Cup Finals on in the evening. We stopped in around 12pm to scope it out for the evening. Big place lots of tvs. The bartender was very nice told us its usually really busy and lively, great food etc so we said great we'll pop back in the evening We had dinner at the Keg downtown early and headed up to Don Cherry's. Walked in , girl greeted us . Well she asked if we needed seated for two Place was empty , a few people at the bar but not one seat in the dining room occupied. We said , no thanks may have something later we'll sit at the bar. She harumphed and walked away. We were about 8 feet away from the bar but took 10 minutes till another girl came over for our order. The girl that had greeted us was the bartender, to say she was miserable would be an understatement. No atmosphere, empty on what would be a busy night. Bartender was slumped in a corner. The downstairs which is the same size had one person at the bar , bartender there playing with her phone. Sat empty after first drink for few minutes , had to call over to get another drink, totally ignored us. Her attitude permeated the bar which is why it was emptyWe headed down to the Mansion down the street for more drinks and snacks and will never again come here on our many trips to Kingston. Kinda sad when it's Cherry's hometown . Photos added of empty place and worst server ever
The only good thing about this place is the size of the wings. Meals were brought out incorrectly, waitress did not come back to the table once the food was delivered to see how it was or correct it. When we finally got her attention, she didn't fix the meals and just said sorry and walked away. We also did not enjoy the "bruschetta" which is just cheese with tomato. nothing else. and sent it back as soon as it arrived because it was not what we were expecting and were not going to eat it. The waitress charged us for them anyways, and when we spoke with the manager about taking it off our bill, he continuously argued with us, telling me the best he could do was discount a meal that we did not even eat. He argued with me telling me that is how bruschetta is made and that I should have known when ordering it, and thats how it has always been made there. Just ver disrespectful.
The restaurant was very large, but it didn't look very busy. The food was very good. I enjoyed the Canadians poutine very much.
