Cafe le Matin - Kingston

Le Matin kept us entertained looking at all of the various motifs competing with one another as we waited for lunch time wraps and fries. 50's diner, country kitschy and slick starbucks-like decors weave through this place, but the food was fresh and delicious and the owners are quiet but friendly. For the price, it's a really good deal.

Found this little gem of a place to eat breakfast and was delighted with the friendly and efficient service and great choices for breakfast. Lots of people first thing in the morning. People already know what I just found out. Treat yourself here. So reasonably...priced.

Here I am eagerly awaiting my fav/closest breakfast joint to open at 7am. I take a picture of the menu and the owner doesn't like it so I delete it according to his wishes. He takes my order, so I step aside and pose for...snapchat of MYSELF. A PICTURE OF ME. He immediately tells me to get out, refunds me my order in cash and doesn't even let me explain. I'm so torn over this, they normally have good service but what a great way to start the morning. I work in tourism and have been visiting all sorts of restaurants in Kingston but never have I EVER been treated this way.

The food at Café le Matin is very good. I have been there several time, tried different menu items and I was never disappointed. The dishes are tasty, hot when served and there is plenty of food for the money you pay. You have to know not to sit right away. You must first order from the cash register, pay and then sit and your food will be brought to you. The place is very clean and spacious.
