Churchill's used to have a bit of a bad reputation as a dodgy pub, but they've put a lot of effort into cleaning up their image. And that has definitely reflected in their American dinner style kitchen.<br/ <br/ I had a deconstructed salad it came with turkey bacon, chicken strips, haloumi, avocado and assorted salad veggies. It was definitely yummy it had a good ratio of ingredients. I hate it when you order salad and it is literally a bowl of leaves. This was the complete opposite, with a generous portion too. <br/ <br/ My partner had an Aussie burger which he said was delicious as well. We shared sweet potato wedges, and they were deliciously crisp and well seasoned. They were served with sour cream and sweet chilli as well. <br/ <br/ Overall, it was a surprisingly lovely dining experience. Kingsford is known for its many Asian restaurants, but Churchill's provides a wonderful alternative. I wouldn't necessarily come here for a romantic evening out, but if you want a chilled out night with a couple of drinks while watching some footy, this is an ideal spot.
By far the best diner around, huge selection of menu, if you like burgers and steak this is the place to be. great meal deals with beer $15 everyday, steak and chicken monday was deliciously, juiciest steak every had. will be back again to try more interesting menu.
Good burgers and reasonably priced. Fast service. Good pub if you're a fan of sports! Nice location in Kingsford. I would eat here again.
I’ve visited a few times recently and noticed that the bistro section has changed to an American-style or inspired diner. The setting has also been slightly updated with new table settings and other changes in the front section to reflect the new theme.<br/ <br/ I tried the Delmonico steak with mash and almond beans sauce on the first visit. The steak wasn’t quite as good as I would have liked. It had a few too many tendons and was difficult to bite at times. The mash with the almond bean sauce was an interesting side. <br/ <br/ I also tried the Latino loaded schnitzel, which was the usual schnitzel but topped off with beef chilli and that was available as a special, which was reasonable value. Lastly I’ve also tried the Mexicano crisp pizza. It clearly used fresh ingredients for the topping and dough.<br/ <br/ I've revisited a few times since the middle of 2016 and the food quality seems to remain good. The fish burgers, lobster rolls and pizzas have all been good although the pizzas are on the thin side and not fluffy as I prefer and I don't think there's an option to have their thickness adjusted.<br/ <br/ I've usually had the meal deals which include a beer with a meal but usually I substitute a Pepsi for the beer. The prices are fair and the setup is well maintained and bright. I like the fact that parking nearby is now not difficult to find but it is limited to 1 or 2 hours only.<br/ <br/ The service overall has been friendly and the food comes out quite quickly.
The food was OK... Chicken Parma was extremely thin but want expecting great things but this pub is amazing. 3.50 schooners at happy hour and a free sausage sizzle on Saturday with a great selection of sports on offer. Great pub
