Ki Lighthouse Cafe - KINGSCOTE

My meal was a hearty good value breakfast. The bacon and eggs served on KI are really good. The lighthouse big breakfasts was BIG and the coffee was great too.

We had just arrived on kangaroo island and we were looking for a bite to eat. We came across this cafe as it was a bit cheaper than nearby places. Well...you would think it's easy to make an omelette and coffee. Coffee was watery, omelette pretty plain. We also ordered a fritatta which didn't taste very great. When I asked when it was made i gold told yesterday and that I am probably not used to fresh herbs. Wasn't even offered a replacement or anything.rude service. Working in the hospo industry I know what is good and bad customer service. Bad food and bad customer service. We still ate some food as we were so hungry, but won't be returning or recommending this place.shame

If you are visiting kingscote, this is a great destination for a quick lunch. Junk food is king but cooked well.

We enjoyed a wonderful and hearty breakfast each of the days we visited .The staff were helpful and the owner was a wealth of knowledge about the Island .We were given wonderful advise about the sites of the Island and suggestions about eating venues along the way.A great way to start each day

We went to the LightHouse restaurant the other day and were completely disappointed .The service was very slow and not very friendly. I ordered a quiche and salad and the quiche was so dry I could hardly cut into it. The pastry was so hard and dry, it tasted like it had been reheated for the last three days. The salad was average and the prices were reasonable but I would not recommend it to anyone.
