The location is amazing and this was the only vegan food I found in Killcare, it was a great find considering we were staying at Putty Beach Campground. Their Specials chalk board specified that they are vegan friendly. I had their sweet potato fritter, it came with a lot of raw veggies and was quite tasty but a bit small on the carb side (I love my carbs). My partner tried their chips which came in a huge serving. They also have vegan banana bread and their milk coffee (Bonsoy or almond) was quite good. Most of all, the location with the view of the whole beach and even, further, a glimpse of Maitland Bay.
This restaurant is more than just a surf club; it offers an excellent variety of meals to choose from. The views are stunning, as it's situated right on the beach, and the service is top-notch. Our hostess, Dusk, displayed professionalism and engaging conversation throughout our visit. It was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch, and I highly recommend it.
There’s truly no better spot than this on a warm summer evening, and the food was outstanding. The Kokoda appetizer is a must-try—it's bursting with wonderful flavors and features fresh, delicious seafood, though the recipe remains a mystery. We also enjoyed the Fijian Chicken Curry and the Grilled Barramundi, both of which were delightful. The service was excellent, thanks to Dusk (the host) and the entire team. It’s definitely worth the 40-minute drive, and we will be back!
The location is incredible, and this was the only place to find vegan food in Killcare. It felt like a great find, especially since we were staying at the Putty Beach campground. Their specials chalkboard indicated they are vegan-friendly. I ordered the sweet potato fritters, which were served with a generous portion of raw vegetables and were quite tasty, though I found them a bit small on the carb side (I do love my carbs). My partner tried the chips, and they were served in a massive portion. They also offer vegan banana bread, and their milk coffee (available with Bonsoy or almond milk) was quite good. Above all, the views over the beach and Maitland Bay were simply stunning.
