The Mad Monk - Killarney

This is the best fish you can eat, fresh and perfectly prepared. We had the octopus and the mussels as starter, heavenly. As main we had the sea bass filet and the crab claws. Here you can eat some fish which you cannot eat in any restaurant. Also wonderful and great service of all the staff

We visited the Mad Monk twice during our stay, as we enjoyed the first visit so much. Beautifully cooked, very fresh fish with excellent service. The restaurant is very buzzy with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

The seafood at this restaurant is fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. During our three-night stay in Killarney, we stumbled upon this restaurant on our first night and didn't bother making reservations anywhere else. The service is professional and attentive, and the management is excellent. I cannot give this restaurant enough stars for the quality of the food and experience.

Excellent Seafood service. The best on our trip to Ireland. They have a sister restaurant named Quinlan’s. Had the Fish Chips there. Had their Seafood Chowder at both restaurants, It is made from local and fresh Seafood. Excellent!

I read about the Mad Monk online before our trip to Ireland. We very much enjoyed our lunch and the service was excellent. Food was delicious and freshly prepared to order. A great stop on our travels around Ireland.
