Caraffini - Kensington and Chelsea

Large Italian restaurant is just a few minutes walk from the sloane square. eating was excellent, ambiente good and exceptional service.

We visited here for the first time in this week, on recommendation of a friend. the selection of menu, service and quality were all excellent. good atmosphere during a busy service. only care was that at the day we visited, no outside seats and tables were very close together.

I fully agree with the reviews written in the januar and December the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the eating is good, but moderate.

The people in the london hospitality trade will tell them that it is impossible to find a chef at the moment. in my opinion, caraffini should swallow her proudly and simply fall an old favorite from her extensive and traditional menu if her chefs cannot serve. it in an edible form.

First visit to Caraffini for several years. Not much has changed. The food is traditional Italian fare and perfectly well executed if a little lacking inspiration. Starters of crab salad and linguine with claims, mains of calves liver and pannacotta and chocolate fondant for dessert....Atmosphere is subdued. What is really odd about this restaurant now is that all the waiters, the chef and the kitchen staff are Portuguese, not Italian. The waiters have learnt to say mille grazie over and over again which just makes them seem a little bit ridiculous. As a result, the whole experience seems a little odd. Can an Italian restaurant be Italian in these circumstances. Not for me. I won't be back, especially when the prices are taken into account. Two cocktails, food, glasses of house wine and coffee
