Cheap and low standards. Below average barbecue by any standard and done using gas not coals as the brick chimney suggests. The many signs and decorations are I95 hype. Fried chicken, hush puppies, and Brunswick stew are safe bets but hopefully the kitchen is having a good day. Vegetable sides are over cooked and taste canned. Fried fish is typically not fresh, over fried with air pockets, greasy, and crispy. Service, food quality, and food temperature are very inconsistent and they occasionally serve tea that is old and has a rancid taste not acceptable. With little attention paid to serving up fresh tea and proper temperature Brunswick stew every time it makes me believe that they are happy with low standards and over compensate with I95 signage and southern charm.
