Paddy's Restaurant - Kelso

Last night we went to this restaurant for dinner on a very busy night. We had to wait in line, but it was not long before we were seated. The server, a very friendly and bubbly lady, was polite and attentive. The food was delicious and served quickly. My husband loved the BBQ ribs and I enjoyed the ocean trout specialty. The kids also enjoyed their meals from the children's menu and had a great time at the playground. The bar staff were friendly and helped me choose a wine, as they didn't have a list. I was impressed with the service and the food. We will definitely be returning.

Over priced, under cooked. Food was absolutely horrible. We had a booking for Seating was very bad. Food took over an hour to be served and the meals that were ordered were basic, certainly not an hours were of cooking. Several meals had to...be sent back as they were unbeatable. The language from the bar was heard in dining room, f and c bombs left right and centre.

This is a pub, so what can you really expect? The good points were that they had carpets, which helped to dampen the noise a bit. The seating was comfortable and the tables were spacious. Customers would order at the counter, pay, and then wait for their food with a buzzer. The menu selection was pretty average, and I opted for the flathead fillets with vegetables. It was filling, but not exactly exciting or innovative. The prices were reasonable and it seemed to be a popular spot, likely because it's the only pub in the area.

We got together with the friend for lunch. the staff was friendly and helpful. we ordered our meals and they were available within a reasonable time, although it was a very busy Sunday. the meals were great and tasty. we're coming back.
