Jack Duggans Irish Pub - Bathurst

As a lover of Guinness, seeing this place given one of the only 9/10 reviews from the @guinnesofsydney I had to come and try it. Believe me when I say, it’s amazing and well worth the trip. At only $10.50 a pint, you can’t go wrong. Not many places you get your beer poured by the owner and what a great bloke. Loved that it was dog friendly also with a great selection of food. Wish I was a local and definitely will be coming here every time I go through Bathurst.

The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and affordable.. staff were amazing, super welcoming with the pub itself nothing short of entertaining with a super pleasant atmosphere.. thanks for having me, will be back again!! Oh don’t forget the food.. the T-Bone and pepper gravy any day for me thanks… drools uncontrollably

This has to be the worst pub I have ever had a meal at. My rump steak which was supposed to be cooked medium rare came out like leather and I was unable to eat it. My vegetables were soggy chips. When I complained to staff I was told just got a new grill and chef was not used to it yet . When I asked about the vegetable the staff member laughed and said I don 't know what happened there . No apology, no offer of money back, absolutely nothing. If you are smart steer clear of this pub, lots more in town worth a visit. If you are reading this please spread the word as I am.

Staff were great but due to a change of ownership the restaurant meals have been allowed to deteriate. Microwaved vegies and undercooked steak. Even the waitress agreed with us and suggested we might need to find a new favourite. This has always been our go to and have recommended to several that this place was the best steak in town sadly no more.

Was looking forward to another good Irish pub,as we have just passed through Mudgee and had fantastic service ,food and atmosphere at Kelly’s Irish pub. Unfortunately the same could not be said for Duggans at Bathurst ,we went there for lunch and was planning a Friday afternoon session,the taps were not working,Fridge’s hot and they could not provide any stubbies as a substitute,most disappointing were the staff who did not care or provide any apologies,so we ate our meal, which was enjoyable and went to the George so we could have a drink.
