I had a burger char grilled patty with good flavour, oddly icily chilled salad/slaw which had positive effect of keeping it very fresh and crisp, excellent bun was fresh, soft and savoury (not the over sweet and often stale brioche buns you get elsewhere in the world). Skin on fries good, side of South American pickled veg tangy, zesty and very good. My friend had caesar salad with duck, which was excellent, quite light. Good beer on special. Service rather brusque, but we were happy about everything else, so no problem.
I must say, that it was a big disappointment for me. I am used to going to their first restaurant in city named Beroun and it is uncomparable considering food. It was just much more tasty there but the truth is, that I was there a year ago. Staff was great, helpfull, pleasant, smiling but the burgers, even though they looked great, were average. Beer was good though. I am not sure we will come back, we will rather take the trip to Beroun and see if it is the company change or just a branch issue.
Good looking place on the river bank. The cheapest veggie burger so far I ve found in Prague. Beef burger tastes good as well. French fries are woooow!coleslaw had a taste of tequila but it's my personal opinion since my company liked it. Totally recommended !
I've been told to visit this place as it was recommended by my friends for their juicy and delicious burgers. Needless to say i was not disappointed. The location of the place is good, right next to the metro station and near Charles bridge. It is more than just a burger joint, it has that romantic feel into it with good lighting and candles. As for the food, I cannot complain about the burger. It was delicious! Juicy and tender with an impeccable job in marinating it. The only improvements i would recommend is the fries and the barbecue sauce. The fries weren't good, they more like wedges that aren't so good. As for the barbecue sauce, it was horrible, bitter and simply didn't taste like barbecue. A good experience overall recommended!
I visited Black Dog Cantina with very high expectations from the restaurant in Beroun. I was in a hurry to destroy the chipotle burger and fries when they arrives, so I neglected to get a picture. The burger was perfectly cooked, had complex flavors, and the fries had nacho cheese on them. It also came with a small side dish of slaw that was probably the best slaw I've ever had. (I'm from the south, too. The waitresses were so nice and gave us hot towels to wash up with after because it was a bit messy. Now it's lunch time the day after and I'm still full. The interior is nice as well. I included a couple pictures. It's fancy without feeling like you have to dress up. Really, save up your money and visit! You won't be sorry.
