La Viva - Kalundborg

Fantastic food! One of the best steaks I have ever had. Friendly staff and good value for the money.

We just had the most wonderful dinner at La Viva, Kalundborg. I'm almost ready to say the best food up in town. It's a bit expensive if you choose the steaks, but absolutely worth every krone (DKK). The young staff is nice and the food is served quickly and lovely warm. Desserts are fantastic and the menu generally offers several different foods. Seafood, steaks, pasta and more. The restaurant is also a cafe, so you can just enjoy a coffee or chocolate if you're not hungry, but believe me, you will be as soon you're sitting in the nice surroundings.

Today (13 people) we had lunch at La Viva in Kalundborg. I have ordered: Tiger prawn salad, where there were 4 tiger prawns on top, the rest of them were very small and tasted like they had been thawed, i.e. no taste at all (if I closed my eyes I wouldn't be able to taste that I was eating prawns, but just small pieces of pasta. Overripe tomatoes, have been scattered on the plate, where some of them were warm? Several avocado slices had black spots on them). On the bottom of the plate was salad and hot slices of peppers. Several of us have left the food on our plates. The food is cheap, man I can understand why? Whether I would recommend the place to others ....No, absolutely not.
