The Mix - Kalamazoo

This is 100% my favorite cocktail place in Kalamazoo right now. It's warm, it's cozy, it's welcoming. It's dim but not dim so that you can't really hang with your group like some cocktail bars. You can post up here for hours. We loved it so much during our visit back to Kalamazoo that we went back the next day when the other bar we were at closed far too early for us to want the night to end. We got these drinks during our visits: Rosolio Sour: Sloe Gin, Earl Grey Tea, Italicus, Quinquina Blanc, Lemon, Honey, Egg White Morrison Hotel: Bourbon, Lemon, Almond Syrup, Blueberry Liqueur Funky Duck: House 4-Rum Blend, Lime, Amaro di Angostura, Cane Sugar Trader Vic's Mai Tai: House 4-Rum Blend, Curaçao, Lime, Almond Syrup Corpse Reviver No. 2: Gin, Cointreau, Lemon, Cocchi Americano, Absinthe I would love to see more Gin and vodka drinks on the menu, I found so many of them to be spirits I don't prefer. Maybe a few more that are simple and approachable as some have ingredients that are a bit more on the obscure side for some. I was feeling like a tom collins the one night but ended up going with a corpse reviver. It did not disappoint but I do think some additional simple cocktails would be nice. I love how there's cozy couches and booths and tables... plenty of options for whatever you're feeling that day. We chilled in a booth one visit and then cozied up on a couch the next. The place knows how to make a mean cocktail, everything was absolutely phenomenal and they aren't pretentious about it. The staff was friendly and one guy in particular was great! Forgive me for not remembering his name after 2 visits (for shame) but the bar is losing a great team member as this is his last week. I can't wait to visit again.

Yummy strong drinks. Good vibes. Has pool to play too. Lots of seating options. Would go back.

Comfortable and good service at reasonable price if you want to hang out for drinks with modest but interesting menu

I love this place so much. It is the best bar in kalamazoo and whenever i visit the area it is the number 1 place on my list. They have small snacks (marcona almonds, chips, tinned fish) but no dinner, so this is a great spot pre or post dinner or just for whenever. Nice booths with cozy lighting at each table and some cozy seating in the adjacent room with a pool table. Drinks are unique and delicious and service is always great.
