Poi By The Pound - Kahului

The food was excellent, and the friendly service really made us feel like we were dining with family. The portion sizes were appropriate for the prices, and we certainly left feeling satisfied. This was one of our first experiences with Hawaiian cuisine, and it did not disappoint. We ordered both beef and pork, and they were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned.

Definitely a place to visit for local cuisine! The Hawaiian plate was worth every penny. Most people share one, and we only ordered a few additional items because it’s so filling. The kalbi was tender and delicious. The poi wasn't overly sweet, but it had a lovely aroma since it was freshly pounded there.

The food was fantastic! We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. We tried the Teriyaki chicken and the Hawaiian plate, and we were delighted to enjoy authentic Hawaiian cuisine before our departure.

Beautiful house . super friendly waiter. kalua pork had better, but there are many possibilities to make it. terriyaki huh was delicious. nicely cooled place for local food.

Only 4 stars because I really wanted poi but they were completely out of stock. Disappointing but I would still recommend this location, I ordered chicken plate lunch with Mac salad and rice and the chicken was FIRE! I hope to return next time I go back to Maui. Highly recommended.
