Przekaż informację zwrotnąAfter taking photos and doing some research online, I found out that the first two floors were not classified as ocean view rooms, which was what I had paid for and was confirmed in my contract. Feeling frustrated, I went back to the main lobby and spoke to a friendlier staff member, but still encountered minimal hospitality. I asked if it was possible to move to a higher floor to get a better view of the ocean over the foliage. After being told multiple times that there were no available rooms, I became emotional and asked to speak with a manager. Instead, another staff member reached out to room control and found a room one floor up and one room over from ours, but it wouldn't be available until the following night. This meant we had to check out of our current room at 10 am, store our belongings with the bellman/service desk, and be without a room to accommodate our toddler until the new room was ready potentially at 4pm. This inconvenience was not accompanied by an apology, and I felt disheartened by the lack of service we received. It seemed like we were being treated as second class guests simply because we were not owners. While I understand that owners may have benefits, it is important to treat all guests with respect to ensure repeat business. The resort's failure to deliver on their promises and mislabeling of room types is not acceptable customer service. As a healthcare provider, I understand the importance of meeting professional standards, and it is disappointing to see a lack of accountability in the hospitality industry. I am hopeful that our experience will improve so we can enjoy the rest of our vacation, but I am also realistic about the level of service we have received. This falls short of the standards set by hotels like Westin and Marriott.
We recently received a timeshare offer for 5 nights / 6 days and thought it was a great deal. However, we were disappointed with the condition of the property. Despite being a timeshare, we expected the best possible experience to be shown in order to convince us to sign up. Unfortunately, the rooms were not clean and we had to complain to two different people at the front desk with no resolution. The linens were dingy, surfaces were visibly dirty, there was a pubic hair in the shower, the dishwasher looked like it had never been cleaned, and the closet door where the laundry is stored was broken and dirty. Our list of complaints was extensive (see attached pictures). Interestingly, we arrived two days before our timeshare presentation and are prepared for their hard sell tactics with our firm refusal.
The staff at the hotel are efficient and attentive, providing quick service like I've never experienced before. The rooms are clean, as are the kitchen amenities, and I especially love the grills on the property. I was able to use any of the pools at the three Westin hotels nearby during my stay. The highlight of my day was seeing a school of dolphins swimming by and even swimming with some sea turtles at the beach behind the hotel. The rooms are well-maintained and any issues are promptly addressed by the staff. There are shuttles available for nearby activities and I feel completely safe walking around the area. There is also a boardwalk along the beach for easy access. The hotel even has a soda stream machine in the lobby, which is a fantastic little bonus. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I rented two rooms at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas. I was in room 3625 from 7/22-8/29 and was moved to room 2224 from 7/28-8/4. When I rented both rooms, they were both advertised as 1 bedroom villas with an ocean front view. As you can see from the photos, the views are substantially different. I was told that regardless of the actual view , the room 2224 was classified as ocean front view . However, they could not give me an explanation for such an extreme downgrade in the view, for a room that was advertised the same. I was offered a $100 resort credit, that I declined. Please look at the attached photos. The views are substantially different, however the price and advertisement of the rooms are the same. My request is that The Westin is not allowed to mislead people and charge them for a room that is misrepresented. .
HONEST Review Beautiful experience at this Resort! If you are looking for a comfortable, spacious room with an at-home feel and full kitchenette options and a great on-the-beach option, look no further! ! I provide honest reviews as someone from the middle-class (black) who only stays in 4 star hotels (however planning this trip in less than a month we decided here and so glad that we did). SERVICE: Great service! Everyone was welcoming, helpful and available when needed. We missed an entire night due to a cancelled flight and they worked with us. Check in was easy, even though busy at time of checkin. ROOM: We booked the Islandview Studio Premium Villa at the North resort and loved it! From the moment we booked until after we left, we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and beautiful, clean, practical. You can cook in the units as well as do your laundry there, they even included laundry soap- incredible and we used a couple times during our stay. We loved the large jet tub as well and the provided soap/shampoo/conditioner. The bed was very comfortable, as were the linens. The patio was beautiful and our room overlooked the children 's pool but you could still still the ocean and palm trees. It was always quiet. Wifi always worked. AMENITIES/GROUNDS: Great amenities, pools (adults kids in separate sides/areas), whirlpool, snorkeling, fitness center, cultural center, activities shows like hula dancing, craft fairs, etc and the Spa! We loved the on-site restaurant Pailolo Grill Bar and ate there almost daily. While we came during the very busy season (Feb/March), things were crowded but still fun. They also have a full service on-site market store with all the basic, like a Target Express. The only thing that could use improvement is the hallway walls in some areas have been dinged/scratches and could use some paint. Otherwise, beautiful! LOCATION: Absolute perfection. Close enough to everything but far away for a peaceful escape. Also, they have the best beach area along Lahaina. PARKING: Always available and ample parking. Overall- highly recommend and absolutely enjoyed our stay. We loved our stay and hope to come again in the future. We do NOT understand the negative reviews.
