The Southern Chef - Jonesboro

Had the plate lunch with chicken fried steak, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes. Very good food and value!

Tried out this place tonight. We LOVE it. Really cool building. Reminds me of what one might have found on Route 66 in its heyday, only modern. REAL potatoes as fries, and totally in love with the Boom Boom Chicken Bacon Sub! Hubster had the country fried steak, and what he said tasted like fresh from the garden black eyed peas and real mashed potatoes. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu!!!

Loved it, food was really good. They were very friendly, helpful and it was clean. Highly recommend.

We had dinner with family at The Southern Chef. The owners made sure we were happy with our food. The young people behind the counter taking and filling our orders were very helpful, polite and friendly. They were patient with us too as they waited for us to make our choices. Food is good. Restaurant is very clean. We enjoyed our visit

Great little place to eat at. Very impressed with the quality of the home cooked meal. I had the lunch plate with roast beef, carrots, and fried squash. No need to add anything else to flavor meal, it already had it. Delicious!! Staff was very polite. Great job!!
