Really good food, the cook was very fun and entertaining. I would definitely recommend this place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sumo Japanese Steakhouse Hibachi Grill in Jonesboro, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by one of your exceptional hosts and then after a short wait our server, Megan, who promptly greeted our grill side table and took our order. We ordered the Chicken and Steak entree with a double portion of fried rice, and we were not disappointed. Our cook, Parmin, was not only a skilled chef but also an entertaining performer. He kept us engaged with his impressive knife skills and fun banter, all while cooking our food to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the fried rice was packed with flavor and just the right amount of seasoning. He engaged with all members of the table and even the little ones. Megan, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout our meal. We also indulged in some delightful adult beverages. The Peach Strawberry Sangria was refreshing and fruity, while the Volcano Bowl was a showstopper. The presentation was impressive, that added to the excitement. In summary overall, I would highly recommend Sumo Japanese Steakhouse Hibachi Grill to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience. The food was outstanding, the drinks were fantastic, and the service was top-notch. First time visiting this location with a friend and it was amazing! We were seated quickly although the lobby was picking up rapidly. We sat at the grill and had the most amazing cook! Super entertaining and accommodating. The lunch portion was HUGE so I could only imagine how big dinner is. I’d definitely return.

The sushi and sashimi were excellent. The only minor issues were the steak was overcooked everything was a bit pricey. That said, I don't mind paying for quality. Thank you!

I can only have heart-healthy foods and discovered Sumo has a gluten free menu with steamed rice vegetables. It was delicious and much appreciated since vegetables are so hard to find in restaurants these days. This is my husband’s favorite place to eat.
