I'll be honest, we came to Chili's to celebrate my youngest son's birthday after we had a rough experience of getting a table at Olive Garden. We checked online with an estimated waiting time of 6 minutes. When we came in, we were told it was 15 minutes, although it was quite empty. To be admitted, we were grumpy because of previous experience on this point. The young lady told us that she would write us if our table was ready to wait outside. After 15 minutes we went to check and saw that they had given the table that they gave us to the family that went after us. The restaurant was in rough shape like property doesn't care about customer experience at all. They went past a few big tables to a stand (it was 6 of us). The seat of the cabin had a large hole in the seat with a channel band above it. The tables we came by were dirty. We noticed that some other stands had holes. We got three menus for 6 people. But the server was great. He was friendly, helpful and patient. This was a welcome surprise, because we were not confident that we would eat here after we had seen the state of the restaurant. The food was okay, but better than we expected. The portions were somewhat stingy and the Ranch Dressing was watery. A poor girl tried to clean up, but it was just getting it and it servers, although we saw that many people went to the back. You could say that she was disturbed, but I would be. Some articles were missing, but we were just happy to have food at this point. Overall, it was not a terrible experience, but it is as if property had abandoned.
The food was delicious and my server was excellent. She was just the right amount of attention and even went out of her way to make my iced tea the perfect amount of sweet when I asked for extra sweet tea. In addition, she trained a new employee. As a rule, I command it, but can now choose Din more often.
Our server was great!!! Food not so much. The avocado sirloin, ribeye and burger were well done. (We ordered all medium well) There was a 30 minute wait on Saturday night not bad. The table we were seated at in the bar area was freezing cold and ate our dinner with our coats on.
DINE IN? IF YOU WANT TO WAIT 45 MINUTES; IN YOUR OWN CAR. BTW THE FOOD STILL COSTS THE SAME AS IT DID WHEN THIS CHINA 19 WASN'T AROUND EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE BEING INCONVENIENCED. THOUGHT I WAS IN CALIF. OH YA, ITS NOT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE.
