We went on a Saturday night the places were packed to the edge. At the time of arrival they had only 2 high tables available at the top. But fortunately there was a table that wanted to leave about 5 minutes after sitting. I politely asked the hostess if they could move us if this table on the left gladly accommodated them without any problems. The food was surprisingly good. My companion had the shrimps Tacos I had. Both were delicious, my only negative comment is the Brisket has no sauce at all. The fries were deliciously perfect. The drinks were good, they didn't have a great choice because my companion had 3 different drinks before they actually had what he wanted. The food came out in time and also the drinks. But unfortunately the waitress was not the best. I totally understand that waitress is a difficult task, especially when the place is super busy, but if you ask questions about suggestions or what they are most popular, she seemed a little upset about the question. She also disappeared between drinks or after dinner. We just noticed because we're looking for extra drinks. Also the music was REALLY loud (healthy as I was in a club) If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would only be out of this first experience, but I plan to give this place another attempt, maybe to a day that it is not so busy. Overall, the experience we are quite decent, the style of the restaurant is very unique. I love illuminated restaurants with unique decor a good ambience.
Great food. amazing atmosphere. a perfect service. the only negatiw is the parking situation in jc. love this place enough to deal with the parking lot. amazing drinks.
I met with a friend to pick up in South House for Brunch and honestly I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I looked over the menu and reviews a few times before the crossing and I was still undecided by the time I set. The atmosphere is quite cool and cool and there is plenty of space that is beautiful. We ordered Guac and chips and Mac and cheese to start the table together with cocktails (I ordered the Midnight Mojito and she got the apple cidder mimosa). The midnight mojito was a bit too bitter for my taste, but her drink was great and we ordered afternoon rounds. The Guac was good, but the Mac wasn't so great. It was creamy, but after a while it began to have a Velveeta cheese taste and parts of it were burned as they were a torch up. After completion it took a while until our waiter came back to take our orders and the brunch ended at 3 and at 2:55 we placed our order. I decided to try the breakfast Chimichanga and while it looked good, it was super dry and bland. I cleaned it in hot sauce and it helped a bit. The salad dress that came with the green was not pleasant. Honestly, the mimoses and Guac were a highlight for me. Spent too much money on meh food so not sure whether I give it another attempt outside of brunch hours or commit to a full dinner.
We stopped south house the other day to meet some family members for a drink. Unfortunately, the bar was full, so we asked if we could get a table for drinks only. We were told that we had to order at least one appetizer or dessert we agreed to. We received a spacious table in the front dining area, offering first-class views to everyone when they came to the restaurant. Our server was very sweet and perhaps too polite, as he apologized for everything, even something that is necessary to take over our order. He said good, so we were fine with his extra courtesy. From a menu I started with the pumpkin spice Mule, which contained Tito 's Vodka, pumpkin 5-spice mixture, lime, incubator and comminuted cinnamon. The drink came in the suitable copper cup with a smoking cinnamon stick poking from the top. The cocktail was great, but could have used more of the pumpkin spice mix as I really could not recognize his presence. I also had a tequila and soda, one of their happy hour options that was good, but standard. In addition, I took a sip from my friend 's Purple Haze, the jalapeno-infused Espolon Reposado Tequila, Chambord, blackberry, raspberry, lime and agaven nectar. He loved it, but I thought it tasted like sharp cough syrup. It was really very sweet and syrup. To meet the food requirement for the table, we ordered the Guacamole and Pico De Gallo with chips. Although we had expected two separate dives, we received a unique small bowl of the mashed avocado with the cubed tomatoes and onions. However, by placing the two dives as one, it probably helped the taste as we found the guacamole well seasoned and delicious. The accompanying tortilla chips were perfectly salted, thin and crispy. Once again I enjoyed my time at the South House and would recommend it for drinks and/or food as well as for couples or groups.
The decor of this place is really cool. Awesome entryway. The food was slightly disappointing. The fried chicken was flavorless. Needed salt badly. The ribs were dry. All the food came out luke warm at best. I will give this place another try and just try some different items.
