Yakitori House - Jacksonville

Having lived on the mainland of Japan for 2.5 years, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves some of the best Japanese food in the area. The flavors are authentic and it's almost as if I'm transported back to Japan when I dine here.

I ordered the super spicy Chicken Katsu Curry and found the chicken to be juicy. The curry was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still very flavorful. I wish they had naan available. I will definitely be coming back for the Ramen!

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have always received excellent service and food. The restaurant can feel a bit cramped when it is busy, but that is the only downside. If there is a wait, they are willing to take your phone number and call you when a table is available so you don't have to wait around. The food has a homely, diner-like quality to it. I usually opt for the curry, but I have also tried the yakisoba, lunch/dinner boxes, and omurice, all of which are delicious. If you enjoy fried potatoes, be sure to try the croquettes!

It's tiny but the food was amazing. Great service. Try the tonkotsu ramen. Rich, meaty broth

Friendly, quaint little spot. The Kaarage chicken was good, though the tonkatsu was overcooked and dry. The takoyaki were still wet inside but that may be how they’re meant to serve. Will definitely go back.
