Waffle House - Jacksonville

During our travels, we always make a point to stop at a Waffle House, and while some can be hit or miss, this one was definitely a hit. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the shift leader, a young Black woman, made sure that every customer was satisfied. It’s clear that this place is well-managed!

Staff is always super friendly. The food has been good. Always a great experience. Also, bring a few bucks for the jukebox to try some Waffle House favorites (they have their own soundtrack).

We went out for Easter breakfast and noticed that only two staff members were working. We had to wait a bit for the grills to heat up again, as it seemed they were being cleaned. Despite the limited staff, the two worked together efficiently and managed to serve our food and the meals for other tables without any problems. The cook even helped with cleaning tables while the server focused on making waffles—their teamwork was impressive! Eventually, another server arrived, but they didn't add any value; it seemed they were better off without additional help. Overall, they did a fantastic job!

Kid-friendly: I appreciated the generous child-sized portions that were filling. Parking: There was plenty of space, and it was wheelchair accessible. I noticed two customers navigating easily from the parking lot to the spacious dining area. Dietary restrictions: I requested sugar-free syrup, which was readily available.
