The Cuban Place - Jacksonville

Really good traditional Cuban food. The cuban sandwich and ox tail was delicious. The lemonade claret was the perfect pairing super refreshing. Service was good and ambiance was cozy. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend.

This is the easiest 5 star review ever, the food was absolutely delicious!!! We were looking for a good place to eat a Cuban sandwich in Florida and this was one place that came up, it was a bit out of our way but totally worth it. We had the Ham Croquettes, the stuffed fried plantain cups with shrimp, the Cuban and the Shexi sandwich, the rum cake, the rice pudding and the flan! The food, the service and the atmosphere was great, can?t wait to visit Florida and this restaurant again!

Nice clean small diner-esque style restaurant. Originally went to have a Cuban sandwich but was tempted by the menu to try something else. Not disappointed but also not impressed. The stuffed tostones are made with tiny shrimp in a red sauce, whereas every other restaurant I 've tried makes them in a garlic sauce with large shrimp. The red snapper fried filet was good. Vaca frita was good. Rice and beans were good. The service was very good which saved it from being less than . Didn 't have the sandwiches so I can 't comment on them.

Perfection! Pork special and the Omelet Sandwich. It doesn't get any better. The black beans and rice were well seasoned and cooked right. The pork was incredibly tender. I never knew that I liked tomatoes with my eggs. The ambience was nice and the service was really good.

Best Cuban restaurant I?ve ever been to. The food is delicious and served quickly. Great staff and clean place. ??????????
