Larry's Giant Subs - Jacksonville

Giant subs? 1 slice of turkey and 1 slice of ham. This was the most underwhelming sub I've ordered in a long time. The animal wasn't worth ordering. Very sad for a grand opening! This place shouldn't have opened if it was going to be worse than the four or more competitors in the area. $20 for 2 subs and you get hardly anything.

Every time I go into this place, the owner is smiling and so welcoming. She is awesome! We always order the same thing the Gold Rush! SO good. We actually just ordered an Italian to switch it up, and it was also delicious. The sweet tea is so gooood. Not too sweet, you know what I mean? Anyway... Larry's is always a good bet for a yummy meal. This location makes it even better.

It feels like this place is inconsistent. We typically order four sandwiches for the family, and it seems that two of them are always delicious and appealing, while the other two are lackluster in both appearance and flavor. The medium-sized Philly is a bit disappointing as well, as the filling only fills about half of the sandwich, leaving a lot of extra bread.

I had never visited this sandwich shop chain before, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered a different selection compared to other chains. Their menu was much more diverse, featuring popular regional dishes from across the United States, including muffuletta from New Orleans, Philly cheesesteaks, and eggplant parmigiana from New York. The location itself was new, clean, and welcoming. I'm giving it 5 stars, not because it's the best sandwich I've ever had—those are in the North End of Boston, and Larry's is the top chain in Jacksonville—but because it offers a unique and enjoyable experience.

While the food at this restaurant is quite good, it's essential to double-check your orders before leaving. We ordered delivery and I can't help but wonder if the staff knows how to read. They messed up our order twice. First, during pickup, the delivery driver noticed the incorrect items and asked for them to be corrected. However, when the food was delivered, it was still wrong, and they had to remake the wrong sandwiches. They really need to improve their quality control!
