Mojo Kitchen, Bbq Pit Blues

Food and service is great! Too bad the music is ridiculously loud which makes it difficult to have a conversation with people at that same table as you.

The best. Always a pleasure to eat at Mojo's. Chopped North Carolina style bbq is awesome even if sometimes a tiny bit over-spiced (spice should be in vinegar sauce more so than the pork itself). Excellent fried green tomatoes for app and super sides. You may wait a bit for a table during busy times especially weekends after 6:00 or so but it goes pretty fast. Thankful for real bbq in Jax Beaches!

I have eaten a lot of BBQ in Texas and TN and can say that Mojo has nothing to apologize for. This place is great, I simply love it! It is all good- brisket is incredible, so is the pork and the ribs. I can't go without getting the whole hawg so i can get a taste of everything and have lots of leftovers!

We stopped in here on a nice, lazy, Monday afternoon. We had been out in the sun all day so we chose to sit inside to keep cool. The restaurant itself is well-lit and welcoming. We had Felishia (sp? as our server and she was awesome. She knew the menu inside and out and offered some very helpful suggestions. On her advice we ordered a half-order of onion rings. Great call on both the choice and the size. The order is plenty and I fear to think of what a full order looks like. As for how they taste: Oh. My. God... Really, they are that good. <br/ <br/ Felishia had PERFECT timing with the refills. Its a small nitpicky thing, but its something I always look for. She nailed it. <br/ <br/ I got 'The Smitty '. It was sloppy, but in a good way. The way that BBQ is supposed to be, but it also didn 't completely fall apart halfway through eating it, either. The sausage want too spicy and the brisket felt like it melted in your mouth. It was amazing. I had to spice it up a teensy bit with some of the sauces that they keep on the tables, but only because I 'm craving spice on everything these days. The sauces they make in house are amazing! They could make crackers into an appetizing meal. <br/ <br/ My wife loved her BBQ chicken sandwich. It looked amazing, and she confirmed it looked as good as it tasted. <br/ <br/ I 'm angry at myself that I moved to Jacksonville 6 months ago and it took me this long to visit here. I should have come here MUCH sooner, and I WILL be back! So good!
