Athens Cafe - Jacksonville

Wow! The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are incredibly authentic. Our server, Klaert, did an excellent job. However, if you have small children, you may want to avoid going during belly dancing hours as it can be suggestive. My only complaint is that towards the end of the evening, the music gets so loud and of such terrible quality that it can be unbearable for those within 15 feet of the speakers. Sitting towards the back may be more comfortable, but the closer you are to the action, the more your ears will suffer. The cocktails at the bar are unique, affordable, and delicious. They are all house creations that you won't find anywhere else. Make sure to ask for Nod, as he will make you a drink that you won't soon forget. Overall, the food is super delicious and worth it.

Athens Caffe is a hidden gem in Jacksonville, offering authentic Greek cuisine with passion and love. The humble and fascinating restaurant doesn't rely on big budgets or flashy advertising, but rather on the quality of their food, service, and environment. The owner and staff warmly welcomed us and made us feel like we were part of their family. This is one of the few times I have given a restaurant a perfect score in Jacksonville, and that's saying a lot coming from someone who grew up working in high-end restaurants in Atlanta. The atmosphere at Athens Caffe is nostalgic and enchanting, and the food is absolutely amazing in terms of presentation, portion, and taste. Every moment of our experience there was better than the last. If you're in Jacksonville, don't miss out on this hidden gem - it's a true pearl in the city.

Rita was a fantastic server, the food was scrumptious and just as we requested. We will definitely be returning!

I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I ate it, but I got the Lamb Shank. The seasoning was well-balanced, the lamb was slowed cooked to perfection, fall off the bones, the seasoning was so good I drank it. Only issue they forgot my orzo, that why only 4 stars. Overall, give the Lamp Shank a try if you want quality food.

The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly. Our group of 18 enjoyed delicious meals that everyone was pleased with. The added entertainment of a belly dancer made the evening even more enjoyable. It's great to see a restaurant that takes pride in their food and service. This was my second visit and I definitely plan on returning. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.
