Unpredictable hours, inaccurate contact info, OVERpriced, just wasteful and dishonest all around. Incredibly, this business claims it's open 24 hrs (absurd; it's in an Air Force Base Exchange) when in fact it's usually open from about 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. yep, you read that right). Another indicator of deceptive business practices: its management just confirmed the phone Google has for it is correct (it's not; it's not even a working number).
To be honest, I do not like giving reviews that are not 5 Stars and with what happened to me, they should not have received the full 5. The food was great as usual but there was an issue I need to address.I ordered a Chicken Philly. I was asked with onions, peppers and mushrooms! I said yes. I was then asked if I wanted fries and a drink! I said just a drink please. I was then asked if I wanted mayo, lettuce and tomato. Again I said yes.I went to get my drink and within a minute or so, my sandwich was ready. The server added the Condiments and didn 't box it. He went to get fries but I didn 't think anything as I figured he didn 't want them to burn. He put them in a box and then put my sandwich in as well. I told him I didn 't ask for fries. He stated she charged you for them. He said to check my receipt. I was indeed charged for them.He told the girl that I didn 't want fries but she charged me. She basically shrugged her shoulders as if so what. Then I was told that I could keep the fries since I paid for them. Wow! Really!I understand mistakes happen. I should have looked at my receipt so I take full responsibility but no apology and no acknowledgement that a mistake was made. I would have asked for the Manager just to let them know the situation as I 'd rather clear it up at the time instead of writing about it. I didn 't ask for the Manager because the Manager was there the whole time, heard the conversationand didn 't intervene.What a great opportunity to have used this as a teaching moment. I was once told to empathize, apologize and give options. If I was offered for them to refund the difference, I would have said no as I was also at fault for not looking at my receipt but to brush this off as if nothing happened upsets me a bit.I am a fan of Charleys and I will be back. I am a firm believer that the Customer is NOT always right and I also will pay for what I receive so it 's not about getting something free even if I didn 't order it. I also will not make a scene so I just left. I sincerely hope that the non-chalant attitude is something this crew will work on. I just hope a lesson was learned by them.Thank for listening. I know things will get better.
Service was quick. Food was delicious. I'll be back.
The sandwich that my grandmother and I ordered was pretty good. We walked up to the counter at 2:45 not knowing that they closed at 3:00. They were cleaning up and ignored us at first then finally asked what we wanted and seemed mad. I asked if we came at a bad time and the lady let us know that they close in 15 minutes and was extremely unfriendly. We felt uncomfortable and offered to go next door instead but she said no and took our order and unhappily made the sandwich. I looked up the hours for the other food places surrounding us and they are all open a lot later, if we would've known we wouldn't have inconvenienced the staff members who were very anxious to close.
