For sharing, we enjoyed a delightful dish of baked boar served in tiny, bite-sized pieces. For dessert, we sampled a yuzu cream along with a mixed dessert that combined various ice creams and fruits. The portion size was quite large—I would have preferred something smaller and beautifully presented, perhaps on a lovely black plate instead of in a parfait glass. As for the restaurant's decor, I think it could use a bit of refinement. My suggestion would be to remove the Western artwork and promotions, and instead focus on Japanese-inspired decorations. The waitstaff could wear traditional attire, and light Japanese music would enhance the atmosphere. It might also be beneficial to avoid upselling add-ons and peripheral items, allowing the dining experience to feel more authentic. Overall, the space is great, but be sure to make a reservation as there's a $50 minimum. I look forward to returning!
You might think that Tomo's, the Japanese restaurant in Inverloch, could afford to relax its standards, but that couldn't be further from the truth. We visited Inverloch to celebrate a special occasion and chose Tomo's for our culinary experience, and we were pleasantly surprised. The soft shell crab rolls were exceptional—so delicious! We also loved the fresh sashimi and miso soup. Additionally, the service was prompt and courteous. It was absolutely fabulous! I would definitely recommend this place, and we will be back next time we’re in the area.
