NKB Express - INDOOROOPILLY

Cute little American style diner in Indooroopilly was recommend to us. Food is burgers, bagels, waffles - nothing light and healthy!We had two meals - waffles which were excellent and a breakfast bagel which was not. The breakfast bagel was a gluten free one as requested but it was terrible - powdery and stale. Might have been improved with toasting? Bacon and egg inside was okay but the cold tomato relish on it made everything else cold. Service was prompt and efficient but a bit lack lustre. Probably wouldn't go again as the gluten free options are not great.

We had an impromptu lunch with friends. The burgers were very good and served with a large serve of chips. They have good coffee and serve other American style staples. I would recommend for any casual lunch. The decor is American with some booths.

Post shopping at Indooroopilly Shopping Town, a perfect location to recover! Great food, ambiance, wine list .

I've been wanting to try this Café out for some time as I drive past it most days and like the feel of an American Retro Café. Visited Sunday 29th Jan at lunchtime. Upon arrival, the staff were disinterested and not very welcoming at all, no smiles or acknowledgement. There was a sign hanging off the cash register advising the sweet potato fries were not available. I ordered the pulled pork burger, onion rings and a thick shake ($9!) and was amazed that they would actually serve it. The food looked inedible!!! The soggy bread roll was literally floating in a pork juice puddle that had formed on the plate, the "slaw" was overflowing out the sides of the burger and all over the plate. When I picked up the burger to eat it, half the sodden pork fell out. The onion rings were overcooked and very greasy/oily, even by American standards. I walked out after 2 bites of the burger and will not be returning - disgusting!!
