This is a fantastic spot to grab lunch or a to-go drink. As soon as you walk in, the delightful aroma is simply irresistible. I stopped by on my way back to Anchorage from Seward, and the views of the water are stunning. I only wish I had more time to try everything on the menu! It's conveniently located right off the main highway.

This is a wonderful place to stop while traveling to and from Anchorage. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious!

The service was good, but the barbecue was just average—not particularly impressive. They had run out of their special pulled pork tacos, which was disappointing. The sauce was mediocre as well. The atmosphere felt like a diner.

I stopped by Turnagain Arm Pit tonight to grab some sides for dinner: fried pickles, okra, slaw, cornbread, and macaroni and cheese. The food here has always been excellent; if you're a barbecue fan, you'll definitely enjoy their offerings. Their sweet tea is delightfully sweet, almost to the point of making your teeth hurt—in a good way! They provide pickup options, whether you prefer to call ahead or just come in to order. There are also a few tables set up on their deck, and the view of the Arm from there is breathtaking. If you're fortunate enough to snag a table, it’s truly a treat. While I waited, I had a pleasant conversation with Jennifer, who has been working there for nearly seven years. The pandemic has been tough on restaurants, especially those in more remote locations that cater to both tourists and locals. I encourage you to make the drive to support them, even if you end up dining elsewhere. The Seward Highway is filled with beautiful spots perfect for a picnic!

Great BBQ for Alaska! The pulled pork was juicy and packed with flavor, and the cornbread was wonderfully moist. The mac and cheese was decent, too. While the ribs had great taste, they were a bit on the dry side, as was the brisket. I highly recommend trying everything with the mustard BBQ sauce. If you're there for brunch, don't miss the fluffy and delicious pancakes. The biscuits and gravy were tasty, but they could have used a bit more gravy.
