Bo-james - ia City

Atmosphere was great and workers were very friendly and accommodating. I got the Bo James Platter and the Vegetarian Burger with the house salad. The appetizer platter was 50/50. Items like the fried green beans and pickles were amazing while the nachos and potato skins were very dry. The burger was very dry and I could not finish it. The food is a hit or miss but the environment and vibes make up for the misses. Overall enjoyed the time spent here and will be coming back when it's warmer to sit outdoors. Food was average. The macho nacho was a large stuck together clump of garbage. Why they put so much Lettuce on it is beyond me. It's Nachos, not a taco salad! Our table lamp above us didn't have a bulb. It was hard to see the menu without our phone flashlights. Upon request they did switch our table.

I have been to Bo James a few times, but after my recent visit I won’t be returning. My 4 friends and I came into Bo James around noon on a Sunday. Aside from us, there were only a few others which should’ve been the first red flag. All the servers were sitting around and playing Monopoly, which led to slow service for us. After receiving our food, every single one of us were disappointed. Those of us who ordered burgers, received cold, practically still frozen, buns. The meat was dry and had little to no flavor. Every single order of fries our table received were cold and our waitress took 5 minutes to bring the ranch we asked for (mind you, she had no other tables and was playing Monopoly). Very disappointed with this and will not be returning.

Terrible service. Shortly after being seated we were told by the blonde manager we did not order enough food and drinks and that we must order more or get kicked out. Used to come here for drinks all the time, will not be returning.

Fries were cold. Dried up old bacon hanging on wall of our booth. Server never checked on our food which was gross.
