This one has a handy pull in bay (heading south) with parking, but even if this is full there is a few more parking areas a little further along. There is a park area a 100m along if you want to eat but the road noise and traffic is a bit much to allow you to enjoy your meal. The staff were friendly. We had the battered fish and chips. Generous amount of fish with a good batter, standard fare chips. The location is convenient but not one where you can enjoy your food, the fish and chips was reasonable considering we are talking about a take away location. We probably need to try the other places nearby.
This is basically a take away fish and chips outlet nothing special and needs a good makeover. I became sick and suffered diarrhoea 4 hrs after eating which was quite severe which continued throughout the day. I don't think I would ever go back, the shop fronts the Princess Hwy so it's extremely noisy with a lot of airborne grime.Your choice here, good luck with this Russian roulette takeaway.
Bought dinner here Sunday (Valentines Day ) for a picnic. Firstly it seems that the new owners now only supply cheaper (mostly not fresh) fish from overseas. the only fish available from Australia was some small snapper fillets. We ordered grilled snapper and flathead ( Argentina) which really was the best choices with 1 prawn stick and squid stick. The food cost over $40... the flathead supplied was the size of 2 of my fingers only - less than a mouthful and the snapper fillet was not much bigger. $15.90 for tiny small piece of snapper only. $ 15.90 for piece of flated 9cm by 2cm with chips. The fish tasted so awful that we chucked it out and just ate the salad and chips. We also noted while waiting that they did not use gloves to move different fish around or handle money or wipe their face etc... worrie about transfer of bacteria.they were also packing things up so they put the salad dish on top of the ice that was just previously covered with raw fish fillets... which they removed by hand. This is just some of what we observed... what happened to the old owners who sold generous portions of fresh, quality product for the previous 20 + years that i have been a customer
Stopped off here to buy lunch on our way home with friends. Great selection of hot & cold seafood. They have Burgers, chips & drink for $10 or we had Fish Cocktails, chips, drink $12 and one serve is enough for 2 people we found out. Great food, great value, friendly staff and service. Location is just takeaway but there is a little park overlooking the water nearby with some seats where you can sit down, enjoy the view and the meal. Recommended if you a going south on the highway!
We often stop here on the way back home from a night in the city or when we've been away. It's easy to park and the service is friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. If you're looking for some nice fresh fish 'n chips on the weekends then Bridge seafood is worth a visit as prices are fairly reasonable too.
