Big Deal Burger - Hurst

I ordered the Dad Bod Burger because the concept of a grilled cheese as the bun sounded amazing. And it definitely delivered! It was delicious!

I had heard about the wild burgers at Big Deal and decided to give one a try. I opted for the El Fuego burger and let me tell you, it lived up to its crazy reputation. It was a challenge to finish, but as they say, do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from a neighbor. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. It seems like Dickey's attempted to increase revenue with this online concept, but without putting in the effort to make it successful. When we arrived, we realized that this was just Dickey's attempting an online presence within their location. We ordered three different burgers, one of which came with Cajun fries. However, when I arrived to pick up the order, nothing had been prepared. I waited over 30 minutes past the scheduled pick-up time, watching the cook work hard to put the order together while the manager/owner seemed to be focused on drive-thru orders. They were lacking basic ingredients for the burgers and even had to go buy a spatula from Walmart. The overall quality of the food was subpar - the buns and veggies were good, but the burger patties were overcooked and tasted like rawhide. Unless they significantly improve, we have no plans to return to this restaurant.

We waited 30 minutes past the promised time for our order, only to find out they were missing basic ingredients and tools. The burger patties were undercooked and overall the food quality was subpar. We will not be returning unless significant improvements are made.
