Louies Hanover Square - Horseheads

Excellent pizza! the crust was perfect, the sauce was great, and the basilikum on the margarita pizza smell and tasted really good.

I visited this restaurant on Thursday, May 19th following my wife's funeral service. We had a group reservation for a family dinner that included salad, two pasta dishes, chicken Parmigiana, and cannolis for dessert. The ambiance was very beautiful. The food was delicious and the service staff was quick, polite, and efficient. I may not be back soon since I live outside the USA, but if I ever find myself in the neighborhood again, I would definitely return to Louie's Hannover Square. I recently had a meal at this restaurant and when the waitress realized there were no pickles on my order, she quickly brought some to my table. However, she accidentally spilled pickle juice on my food while serving it. The hotplate was replaced within 10 seconds, but it was the same plate that I had been using. Despite this mistake, I was disappointed that no manager came to check on our table or address the issue. Overall, the service was lacking and it seems like the staff do not prioritize customer satisfaction.

The meal was delicious, but the service was lacking, leading to a disappointing experience. The waitress was unwelcoming and made us feel uncomfortable. She never checked back on us to see how our meals were, did not offer any dessert, and rushed us to finish our drinks. Our meals were tasty, but we likely won't be returning.

My first visit, definitely will not be my last! We moved to Elmira from Syracuse about 2 years ago and this was our first visit to Louies. This was the best dining experience I've had in 10 years. Louies has a great ambience, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Barbara was our server and she was on point, it appeared all the staff was too. Drinks always full, she was very attentive but not overbearing. The food... OMG the food. The bread was phenomenal (I'm very picky about my bread), I am also funny when it comes to fountain soda, the mixes are always different. There's was perfect. The salad was good, but it's salad... I'm not going to get too excited for salad. We both got the butcher block special, with the garlic butter. It was a delicious perfectly done steak. We also got the fettuccine alfredo, which is the best fettuccine alfredo I ever had. the texture of the noodles were spot on, the Alfredo wasn't too rich.. it was perfect. Everything about our meal tonight was perfect.We are now regulars at Louies Hanover Square.
