Soho Social Homewood

This has become my new favorite spot! It's definitely a place I recommend when family and friends visit. The Jamn Gouda, which our waiter suggested, did not disappoint at all. I would love to come back for lunch if I could!

I stopped by for a quick drink and some appetizers. The staff was really friendly, and the place had a trendy, lively atmosphere. We ordered chips and queso, along with pimento cheese balls for our appetizers. The house wine was reasonably priced, which was a nice bonus. Everything we tried was tasty, though a bit greasy—typical for the dishes we chose. This spot is ideal for affordable bites and an outstanding happy hour. I did notice that I was quite a bit older than the average diner there.

I had the Gouda Jamn Burger and the Avocado and Radish Salad. The salad was fresh, though a bit on the salty side. The burger, however, was fantastic. My waitress, Marissa, was attentive and friendly, even while managing several tables. The restaurant has a section for families and another for the bar, and they do a great job of seating people appropriately. There’s plenty of outdoor seating available. While it was quite busy, it wasn’t overwhelming on Saturday afternoon. Their slogan seems to be #besocial or something similar. The atmosphere was lively with a lot of noise, but I believe this is part of the concept, which also suggests that the food must be good.

EDIT: I have never changed an evaluation, but I have had my past experiences here and the answer from the owner. In these times eating can be a game room, but the property has a clear interest in its customers. Give Soho Social a try for a drink or dinner with friends. I wasn't in a few years (because of the movement) and was excited to lunch with some friends. The atmosphere was great and our service was perfect. However, the quality of the foods had decreased noticeably. I had chicken and the offers were small and not as tasteful as in the past. I really loved the fries and these were not so sharp or tasty. The prices were high for the caliber of food, in my opinion. This is a great place for a drink or appetizer, but I'm not sure I want to eat a full meal here again.

Wow, if there were more stars I would have rated it higher! Everything was even better than I was expecting. Our server Isabella was outstanding! Our food was piping hot and DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the Whistlestop egg rolls, I was intrigued by eggrolls with collards and pimento cheese. Omgoodness, they were amazing! Our tacos and truffle tots were fantastic. Good job Soho!
