Salem's Diner - Homewood

Great atmosphere friendly staff! We had Salads and they were excellent! I can’t wait to go back for breakfast and lunch when I’m hungrier than the first time. Such a cool restaurant!

I visited this local favorite on a short trip to Birmingham.

All of the staff were great and friendly I let them know it was my first time and they helped me pick items to try.

Today, my hubby and I decided to give this diner an attempt, I am a Philly Cheese Steak Afficianado and I was not disappointed. Our super waitress was great to get this fabulous sandwich and pommes so I could eat it for breakfast while my Nabeby had its short stack of pancakes so high and delicious excellent spicy sausage and one side of eggs. He jumped over the sausage and we learned that it came from a farm in Mississippi where it is made for them from farm to table!! What a great taste! But I was in ecstasy with my sandwich. Prepared with onions, paprika and steak on a warm rolls with one side of a dill picker with frits. Everyone bites better than the next. We'll be back for my husband spied her garbage buckets with a lid breakfast that he has to try!!
