Panera Bread - Homewood

I waited in line for 25 minutes to reach the window to pay and pick up my food. Despite the purpose of the drive-thru being for faster service, I still had to wait to receive my food. This defeated the purpose of using the drive-thru to avoid going inside the restaurant.

This morning, I arrived at the drive-thru at 9:15 a.m. and there were around 4 cars ahead of me. The line moved slowly, and I reached the window after 20 minutes. The server apologized for the wait and offered me a free drink or dessert. I found the explanation reasonable and appreciated the gesture. I regret not getting their names, but I thank them for their excellent customer service and delicious food.

I often stop by this restaurant for lunch because I work close by. The food is good and the staff is friendly. However, their service is lacking. There is always something missing from my order, like salad dressing or a partially filled item. I've asked for butter before and didn't receive any. But the most frustrating part is the long wait times. I once waited 20 minutes in the drive-thru, cutting into my lunch break, only to return to work and find out there was no salad dressing in my order. This needs to be addressed more seriously.

Eating and drinking is almost always fantastic. the real problem is that this place is always out of something. Brownies/out. bbq chicken salad/out of dressing. large drink/no big tassen.

This is the worst Panera I have ever been to and I continue to come for the mere fact that it is close to work and it’s the only place in the area I can do my homework. I’ve often thought of leaving this review but decided not…This place is NEVER clean. Floors are always sticky, tables and seats always have food and crumbs. Can never understand why no one can clean when many times workers are just sitting or standing around.
