I ordered eggs and Haloumi along with a coffee. The food was served in a cardboard box with flimsy wooden cutlery that I struggled to use. I had to ask for a replacement set. Eating off of the cardboard box was difficult and my knife accidentally cut through the box, causing my egg to fall off the table. It was a frustrating experience overall.
This lovely little café located in the heart of Bicentennial Park is an excellent spot for breakfast. With plenty of outdoor seating offering views of the park, it provides a serene dining atmosphere. The coffee is of high quality and the breakfast menu is varied and appealing. I enjoyed the eggs cooked to my liking on sourdough toast, a simple yet satisfying dish. I also noticed the impressive big breakfast plate being served at another table, which I will definitely try on my next visit.
The charity dinner of the Strathfield Committee for the Children's Hospital Medical Research last Friday evening at the Waterview Function Centre held its 60th. Birthday celebration for 160 people who did not last until 11:30! The entrance terrace was excellent...for drinks and canapes. The Function Room was a good size 16 tables of 10 and a dance floor. It had a large screen and the sound quality was excellent. The food was well presented, fresh and tasty the Strathfield Committee are a challenging lot. The two participants were Asparagus Serrano Ham and Avocado Prawn Timbal. The two main were Baked Ocean Trout on prawn risotto and Prime Fillet of Beef with sauteed field mushrooms. The two deserts were Rocky Road Mud Cake and Galliano Panna Cotta with Vanilla Galliano Sambucca. The service was efficient and the evening went without interruption. Recommended.
The staff was very friendly and our salads were so fresh, tasty and satisfying. I was very impressed.
We stopped in for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The menu offers the usual breakfast options including gluten-free bread. Unfortunately they had run out of gluten-free bread when we ordered but the size of the big breakfast meant we didn’t miss out. Coffee...was tasty too.
