This is one of my favorite restaurants in LA. Love the food, service and ambiance
Started bad to get us seated and everything went down hill from there
Both the women's and men's restrooms were badly in need for attention. The women's had no toilet paper at all and the handicap stall did not lock. The men's had over flowing trash cans according to my husband. Several of the plates had chips in them bad enough that I sent them back adding for new ones. This was for my husband's birthday, I expected much better for the amount of money we spent. I would not recommend this place
We've eaten at Kabuki a few times before; it's just down the street from the Pantages Theatre, where we occasionally see big shows. Our most recent visit there was truly a mixed experience. I ordered sukiyaki, a dish I probably last had in the late !!!, and it was really good. So was the soup and salad that came with it. Unfortunately, we can't say the same thing about my wife's entrée. She ordered sea bass and there was definitely something wrong with it. The restaurant was very cool about that; they took it back and did not charge for it. She ordered a few pieces of sushi to replace the cooked sea bass, but they definitely were not the freshest pieces of raw fish she ever had. As a result, we probably will look for other options in that neighborhood the next time we're going to the theater there
