The Deck - Hobart

A little disappointed on my first visit to the Deck I expected a view as the name suggests but the surrounding wall prohibited this. I also found the menu very limited.

Food is beautiful. Cocktails are very strong in alcohol taste, no very drinkable at times. However, overall is a lovely place

The food and dining experience was OK, but we are unlikely to eat here again. We were disappointed with the service; there was no sense of urgency to serve diners and we waited almost 10 minutes just to be seated (note it wasn't particularly busy).

The outside area is lovely for drinks. We were given a table with no heaters or light. But we were moved inside once we asked. The food arrived in dribs and drabs, so by the time the last persons food arrived, the first people had finished their meal, and that was after waiting for a while. Food was great, drinks were great. Service could be a bit better from some staff in particular.

Great night although too close to the freezing cold uncovered part of the outdoor area. Was plenty of space for us to be seated further in where it was warmer covered and well heated). Food was great. Service was average. Booked for 6 and had 2 different sized tables joined (1 bigger table for 2 tacked onto the end) which was odd and unnecessary given how many tables were unused. Would go again but only in summer or with a definite inside booking.
