Miyabi Traditional Japanese Restaurant

Been here a couple of times as usually it is excellent. This time there seemed to be something missing and it wasn't up to the usual high standard. Still good but not as good as usual.A nice range of sashimi and other Japanese dishes, chicken, salad, rice etc. Just not as good as usualNot expensive and good value.We'll be back, hopefully this was just a bad night.

If you want some well prepared, fresh and beautifully cooked Japenese cuisine in Hobart, then this is little upstairs eatery is the place for you! Nothing posh but very satisfying, friendly and great Japenese fare!

A friendly welcome and a cosy environment sets the scene for a good experience - and it was. Delicious food, a lot of variety and a steady stream of deliciousness! We loved the atmosphere, attention to service and attention to what they serve. Perfectly sized portions which left you wanting more. Will definitely go back.

North Hobart has lots of eateries but I chose this one as 'something different' for my birthday. The restaurant is upstairs via a metal stairway; a sharp turn to the left and past the kitchen then 'Voila!' you have reached your destination. The space it occupies is intimate and oddly laid out (some would say poorly laid out). The staff on our night were Japanese and had limited English but were enthusiastic and friendly. I can't tell you the exact names of what we had suffice to say there were pork dumplings and fried chicken involved with interesting sauces. The portions were not extravagant but were attractively presented. I'd go there again if ever I'm back in Hobart.

The worst Japanese restaurant I have ever seen. No eel, no soba noodles, only plain noodles without any meat. I can only have a cup of coke and leave.
