Budgie smugglers - Hobart

Quick breakfast on the fly before ferry to MONA, basically a corner store which has some food. Reasonable prices but not a food sensation

What do you want in a corner store in downtown Hobart? This place delivers exactly that with friendly service, a decent range and correct change.

This place was not on my list for testing all the coffee joints in the Hobart CBD that serve early in the morning, but it should have been. Dropped in this morning to enjoy a delicious, properly made cappuccino that was right on the money. At $3.80 on a par with other more pretentious establishments in town whose coffee is no better than what Budgie Smugglers make. All the burgers on the menu board were under $10, which must be unique in Hobart. The breakfast toasties were also in paper, not cling wrap. All positive signs for those wishing to dine on a budgie... I mean budget :)

Great place to dine on a budget with the standard fair of burgers, pasties and sausage rolls all at very affordable prices

The food was fine - freshly prepared and hot. Needed food after a visit to the pub and this did the trick - had to try it for the name alone!
