Essence Cafe - Hoan Kiem Viet Nam

This restaurant in Hanoi is rated as the best on TripAdvisor, and I believe the glowing reviews are well deserved. My experience dining there multiple times during my stay in Hanoi was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed dishes such as the herbal curry, aubergine on a tonpot, bok choy with mushrooms, and rolled loose leaf with tofu - all of which were incredibly delicious. While they offer pho with meat on the menu, we requested a vegan option and they happily accommodated us. The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated. Although slightly pricier than other Vietnamese restaurants, the value for money is excellent (about $5 per dish). I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

My friends and I dined there several times during our visit to Hanoi and we were impressed by the delicious food. We tried dishes such as vegetable curry, aubergine in a clay pot, bok choy with mushrooms, and rolled lot leaf with tofu, all of which were incredibly tasty. Although the menu features pho with meat, we requested a vegan version and the staff happily accommodated our request. The staff was extremely friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. While the prices are slightly higher than other Vietnamese restaurants, they are still affordable (around $5 per dish) and offer excellent value for the quality of food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
