Stobys Fish And Chips - Hillingdon

I ordered two portions of Fish Chips for lunch , on the way home the delicious smell in the car lulled me into thinking a delicious lunch awaited. How wrong I was ! On opening the fish I discovered the batter was firmly stuck to the paper so i I put it on the plate with the paper. Chips were completely underwhelming , Insipid , lank very lacking in any colour . The fish was delicious , meaty, fresh a lovely texture but the batter was awful , no bubbly bits a very pale colour. No feast for the eyes no feast for the taste buds. Bland, tasteless completely underwhelming for £19 !

We had chicken and salad The chicken was lovely and crispy and lovely tasting (Not southern fried flavour) The salad was lovely and colourful, you got alsorts We had 2 bottles of nice wine, 12%, reasonably priced for a takeaway

Came across this place whilst I was on my way home from work and decided to try it out. Tbh this is the best fish and chip shop you'll find in the area, hands down.

Best fish and chips in the area. Portions are large and fresh and served with a smile. Friendly and helpful staff. would recommend for sure
