The Lakehouse Restaurant

There are not a lot of choices close to the provincial park but after eating here you will agree you don't need many. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was full on a Thursday night which was surprising to us but the food was fantastic and plentiful.

We landed here on a whim. We are glad we dropped by. The meal exceeded all of our expectations and was delicious and not overly expensive. Beware as the portions are very generous. We plan on returning again..Oh yes, we forgot to mention the fabulous views of lake Paudash too.

We were immediately seated on the patio overlooking Paudash Lake.. Our server was amazing .. the owner himself was coming around to everybody to make sure everything was in order. The food was very good and well presented . We cme here whenever we are in the area for a nice romantic dinner

As it was our anniversary we decided to give the Lakehouse a try based on the reviews and its location on the water. The weather was just perfect with a warm westerly breeze and we knew right away it was going to be a nice dinner experience when server Ron brought our water and chatted to us about the restaurant and Bancroft etc. Ron helped to set the tone by making us feel relaxed and good about deciding to come and then server Brandon came along to take our drink orders and he was pleasant and easy going and made us feel right at home and not rushed. My wife had bruschetta and the pork tenderloin while I had a green starter salad and the prime rib. All our food choices were excellent and the meat was done perfectly. Some times when you get prime rib it is too thick and fatty but my piece was not too thin and not too thick, and very tasty. We shared a slice of cheesecake for dessert along with coffee and both were very very good. We introduced ourselves to Carly on our way out and had a nice chat with her as well. Make a reservation at the Lakehouse. You won't be disappointed.

Our server was great! He was helpful and informative with menu and drink options. The Elk was prepared perfectly and the risotto was also very good. I, however, was disappointed with the prime rib special. It was very thin and fatty with almost half of it left on my plate, because it was not suitable. We didn't have reservations, so we could not sit in the covered outside area. I would go back for location and scenery and service and would order something else.
