Great Mediterranean/Persian food in a cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly, helpful with the explanation of the unknown, and prompt. We sat outside, the location is closer to the lake, so dress appropriate for the weather. Inside is clean, a bit dated, but who cares as long as the food and service are great. I'm sure I'm back! App: hummus creamy, super! Soup: Lentil is vegan, but don't worry about mine. All right! Dinner shared with my wife: Red Snapper, very brilliant! If you like fish, you'll love it. Fresh red snapper boiled and tanned with garlic herbs and spices with grazed vegetables, roasted potatoes and marinated red cabbage on the side. Couscous Beef Brochette: Very good. Grilled lambs, marinated with herbs and spices, served with organic spinat, gazed vegetables and couscous with an aromatic sauce. Nice that a family-run restaurant makes it right! I'm back.
Excellent food and service; we felt like family! I can't wait to come back soon!
Apparently, they're understated or something. We really wanted to like the restaurant, and they were nice, but the service was haphazard wrong orders, not on the table in a reasonable time frame, ready for drinks and apps). The food was not good - fish was armoured and there was flour that could be enjoyed on top of it, and the other meals were not good at all. I had planned to try it with an extra-city guest and I was very disappointed. That said, I know that the pandemic in restaurants was difficult, so I hope this restaurant can solve its problems.
LOVE THIS CHARMING PLACE! I can’t adequately explain how wonderful a find this restaurant is. We found it through GrubHub during the pandemic and quickly realized it was better to order from the restaurant directly. When we did that, I made quick friends with the lovely owner and master chef Faye. Before we dined on premises, we fell in love with their food. Healthful, savory Persian food...we’ve had fish, lamb, the amazing Kalaya...mouthwatering grape leaves/dolma and gorgeous Baba Ganoush...everything we’ve tried has been top shelf. Finally we went to dine on the patio for my birthday and were warmly greeted by Faye and server David and we were seated in the “arboretum” safely distanced from other diners. David, gloved and masked the whole time, has the skill, knowledge and quiet charm you don’t find anywhere anymore. The lights strung around the patio on this quiet stretch of 1st St create a twinkling ambience that’s hard to find on the north shore. We thought we couldn’t be more pleased, until Faye presented me with a slice of heavenly German Chocolate cake in gratis for my birthday. Last night we went back a second time and brought family. This place has quickly become an all-time favorite.
