We found this place by happenstance while traveling through Hickory. We both got the street tacos and split a side of beans and rice, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The portions weren't huge, but with the delicious chips and salsa as a starter, it wasplenty enough without ending up overfull. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and we would definitely return.
This place is awesome! Family owned and staffed. Everything is made fresh daily. This is not your restaurant. This is a homegrown restaurant. It's like eating at their family table. You must try this place!!!!
From the outside, this restaurant doesn't look that exciting or appealing. I'm so glad we didn't judge it from appearance though. Mexican food (in this area) can be so boring and predictable and I find it usually lacks any flavor, but the fajitas Ihad here had tons of flavor and depth. They bring two different bottles of salsa to the table, I'm not really sure what theywere but both were good. However, the dish didn't actually need anything added to it. The portions weren't quite as large asother restaurants but they weren't wimpy either. The only downside is they don't serve margaritas. Food came out quickly andhot, this is where I will return if I want good Mexican food in Hickory.
The food looked amazing and the service was quick and friendly. However, the chicken for the fajitas were thin and dry, with the rice having little flavor. On the other hand, the burrito was delicious and tender. Hardly any guacamole salsa sour cream isgiven and charge for extra :
