The boba tea and fries at this restaurant are delicious! However, the wait time was a bit long. Our favorite dish is the ramen.

This restaurant in Hickory has some of the best food around! I always enjoy dining here. The service is generally good, and I have never had a bad meal. However, I must note that the restaurant could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. The floors and tables always seem to be sticky, and there is a lingering dirty mop water smell as soon as you walk in. Perhaps this is why they only have a 94.5 sanitary rating. The bathrooms are decently clean, but the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, both inside and outside, leaves much to be desired.

First and last time there. I do not recommend! Look how atrocious the Pho burger is! 1 limp bean sprout, dry burger patty and just a smidgen of hoisen sauce. And the Carne Asada fries were equally pathetic and disgusting, cold can?chunky tomato sauce poured over fries (super soggy). Staff was lethargic and unfriendly, did not greet us. Hung on the wall is the tackiest Treat YoSelf neon sign juxtaposed on a wall of faux moss and a sea of metal dining seats. All hype only. ? Expensive too!

HAVE A SET RECIPE FOR EACH DRINK. Your drinks are hit or miss because every time I order the same drink but its different employees that eyeball the drink ingredients. I ask for extra ice in a slush one and I receive a watery barely frozen mess. Sometimes I notice certain employees put one scoop while another puts two scoops of boba pearls. And don't get me started on the syrup pumps for a small drink. I've counted 4 pumps one day, another time same size/flavor drink she put 7. It was too sweet to drink.

I 've been a loyal customer of this place for years... Unfortunately I 'm sad to say that ever since they moved locations, things have gone downhill. Not only did they loose the small hole in the wall vibes, but it also seems as though they lost their sense of pride and affinity for quality. For example: I took my parents to this place for the first time the other day... When we got there, we were told they were out of rice! How do you run out of rice!? We then decided to get some Boba Tea, only to be told that they were out of tapioca pearls... After talking with the girl behind the counter, we were told that they weren 't really out; they just didn 't want to make any more because they didn 't want to have excess at the end of the night.... It would be one thing if we came in 10 minutes before closing, but we were there over an hour before closing! How can you call yourself a boba tea place and not serve boba!? On top of that, after 20-30 mins our pager was never buzzed and I had to go up and find our drinks just sitting on the counter getting warm. Were it not for me asking the girl if the drinks were ours, I have a feeling we would have been forgotten about for another 20 mins. Unless things change, I 'll be taking my business elsewhere. Bombin ' Ramen is right down the road, and I 've yet to see them run out of essential ingredients. *I will gladly update this review when service, quality, and supply chain issues improve.
