Las Palmas Mexican - Hermitage

The food was decent, but it wasn't my favorite. They initially got our order incorrect—I asked for shrimp but received steak instead. However, that's not a huge issue. I felt that some dishes lacked sufficient seasoning. On the positive side, the shrimp in the fajitas was cooked nicely. Given the price, I expected a bit more. On the bright side, the service was good.

I won't lie, they tend to mess up my order about every other time I get takeout from there, but the food is so delicious that I hardly mind! The staff is always really friendly, even when mistakes happen, so I'm not too bothered by it. The LP Special is an amazing meal, and the chips and salsa are fantastic as well.

The restaurant is efficient and focused on fast service, so you can expect a quick dining experience. If there are any issues with your food or drinks, they promptly address them. Being polite can go a long way, as the staff is eager to accommodate your requests. However, don't expect a personalized touch—it's more about getting the service you need.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Chips were a little hard and needed salt. Grande burrito fajita bowl had tons of shrimp cooked perfectly. The mushroom enchilada was a little runny but still had good taste.

This restaurant is a Nashville chain, and I had so many good experiences at one of the other locations (over the years) that I keep accidentally going to this one. Sadly, I'm not as happy with this location. The food is on par with other decent Mexicanrestaurants, but their pricing is a tad high for the portion sizes. They've implemented a few policies that I'm not fond ofalso. No substitutions? What? If my combo comes with guac salad and I'd prefer definitely less expensive rice at the same cost,it should be an option. If I take my 5 year old, just he and I, and I don't even have a soft drink or beer, it shouldn't cost$39. (We did have queso, but not even any leftovers)
